We are able to offer one 0.8WTE funded early post-doctoral* (*less than five years post-doctoral experience) nurse academic fellowship for one year commencing September 2015. The fellowship is funded by the Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Research and Care (CLAHRC) Greater Manchester, in close collaboration with the University of Manchester’s School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work.
This fellowship is available for UK registered nurses working in the community in the NHS in England. Funding covers backfill up to 0.8WTE. The fellowship will enable the award holder to make an important contribution to clinical practice whilst supporting their development as a potential clinical academic leader. Over the course of the fellowship, and supported by a mentor, the successful candidate will be expected to increase their research skills in an aspect of CLAHRC Greater Manchester work, continue to develop their clinical skills, demonstrate increased independence as a researcher, submit articles for publications arising from their research and improve their generic management and leadership skills. They will also submit a 5000 word report outlining how they have achieved these expectations.
The closing date for applications is 13 July 2015.
Interviews for shortlisted candidates will take place on 29 July 2015.
